The Harvest Thanksgiving service at St James’ was on 07 October 2018.
Ruth Gosling again baked a Wheat Sheaf, as the focal point of the display of vegetables and fruit on the Communion Table.
She kindly took a series of photographs of the manufacturing process. She also confirmed that the recipe she uses can be found HERE.
In posting these images on social media, Ruth noted: “Well, it’s that time of year where I panic and get stressed for 4 hours whilst making a wheat sheaf for our harvest at church 😂 but I can breathe now, it’s all done.”
Thanks again, Ruth.
Our Songs of Praise service takes place on Sunday 26 August 2018 at 2.30pm in the Church.
Do come along and please spread the word.
A strawberry tea will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Everything is free! Well… there will be a donation box for the teas, if anyone wishes to contribute, as you come into the Fellowship Hall. After deductions for expenses, any surplus money will go towards church funds.
There will still be a Sunday morning service of worship on this date – at the usual time of 10:00am.
If you’re not sure how to find the Church, see this page on the website. The address of the Church is Prospect Terrace, Lossiemouth (it’s not Coulardhill – which Google Maps seems to think it is, at present, though we are trying to sort this out).
St James’ Church Christmas Concert 2017 will take place on Thursday 14th December at 7.30pm in the Church.
Refreshments will be served in the hall afterwards.
Who will be performing at the concert?
- The Praise Group,
- The Prospects,
- Good News Club Singers,
- Various solos/groups and instrumentalists, and
- The Handbell Ringers.
Tickets (including refreshments) are £5.00 from Buckley’s Newsagents (children get in free) or you can pay at the door.
Everyone is welcome and there’s plenty of room.
Hope to see you there!
